To say it right away ... this Les Paul is almost nothing like it was before the conversion. The well-known make-over specialist Florian Jäger has simply turned this Les Paul completely inside out with his Bavarian Make-Over Two. First, the complete lacquer was removed and the top and neck were "recurved". That means the body and top were shaped to vintage correct contours and the neck got a correct 50's shaping with the rolled edges. This was followed by filling the mahogany pores on the back of the neck and body with the correct oil based aniline filler. Re-stamping of the serial number with the authentic font. Refinishing with the legendary Jäger nitrocellulose varnish and the original manufacturer's bronze powder from the 50s. In addition, the personalized aging, which is particularly well done here. The fingerboard has been replaced with a historically correct Barazilian Rosewood fretboard (with Cites certification, of course). The neck has been re-fretted with Hide Glue glue and various other finishing touches, which can be found in the description on Florin Jäger's website (Bavarian Aging Two). The origin to this goldtop was a 2014 LP 59 reissue. But you can really say that this Goldtop here is a completely original Les Paul. And indeed a Goldtop, as you can get otherwise almost only really with a real old in more than 10 times the price range. Definitely test it ... sounds and vibrates like really played 50 years. And it still looks like it.
