Since the Murphy Lab named after him was founded at the end of 2019 instruments from his hand have unfortunately become increasingly rare. We are therefore delighted to offer you this truly sensational 1959 Les Paul with True Historic specs, which incredible aging was carried out by Tom himself. It all starts with the gorgeous finish in the most beautiful Cherry Sunburst with a beautiful top grain and phenomenal color gradient. The individual color tone is stunning and the dreamlike top grain really offers a new visual nuance from every angle. Of course Tom Murphy has once again done a great job here with the finest hairline cracks running across the paintwork, small imperfections in characteristic places and his initials underneath the potentiometers. An absolute feast for the eyes, Tom Murphy at his best! What's more, this Paula is also great to play. Its pleasant 59-Medium profile is excellent and comfortable to hold and the super weight of just 3820 grams as well as the True Historic specs such as selected woods, hide glue, super-thin nitrocellulose lacquer etc. do the rest to ensure the very best playing characteristics. And then of course the sound of this impressive 1959 Les Paul... This Paula sounds damn close to the original, beautifully fat, assertive, differentiated, extremely open and also shows the characteristic slight Strat touch, as we know it from real old guitars.
