Gibson Les Paul 59 Standard Kirk Hammett "Greeny" (2024)

After the last Greenys were sold immediately we went looking again and were able to find another specimen of this guitar, which was only produced in extremely limited numbers by the Gibson Custom Shop. The '59 Les Paul “Greeny” in its current appearance has been in the hands of Metallica guitarist Kirk Hammett since 2014. This is certainly the most legendary and world-famous Paula, which has written music history in the hands of Peter Green and Gary Moore. “Albatross” and ‘Parisienne Walkways’ are the tunes associated with this musical icon, which now continues to see the light of the biggest stages with Kirk Hammett. And this one is also a really beautiful one! The top is extremely attractive with its pronounced grain and rich Lemon Burst. Of course the guys at Murphy Lab have once again done a great job of replicating the look of the original. From characteristic paint scratches and significant abrasions to the carved “KH” initials on the back - every little detail has been taken into account. In addition, this cult Paula with its dream weight of only 3780 grams and the pleasant medium “Custom Greeny” neck profile offers the very best playing characteristics. Probably nothing more needs to be said about its iconic sound. The amp really kicks ass here, including the characteristic “out of phase” sound. The Les Paul is incredibly direct and open. You can work excellently with the tone and the neck pickup sings phenomenally of course, so that Gary would be delighted. “Still Got the Blues” at its very best! The guitar is in mint, virtually unplayed condition. An extremely rare icon of music history that represents a perfect combination of dream sound, characteristic top look, outstanding playability and the very best value retention!
