Only 50 of the 1959 Les Paul Rick Nielsen Aged & Signed were built, all complete with Gibson's True Historic Specs. Of course, this guitar is a sought-after collector's item and almost impossible to find anymore, but first I would like to get to the sound here. This Paula convinces 100% from the first second. The guitar vibrates just great - and that with only 3780 grams. At the amp simply vintage Les Paula pure - very dynamic, reacts to the smallest nuances of touch, smacks beautifully and has a great, grippy tone. The Alnico III custom pickups have been matched in output to Rick Nielsen's originals. The neck pickup is just pure Gary Moore "Still Got The Blues." Nice open, singing sound. And on the bridge super balanced, differentiated with just the right attack. Absolutely top class as far as the sound is concerned and the aging and appearance is in no way inferior. Especially the top has to be mentioned here, which is grained a bit more slanted than most other Rick Nielsens. Truly a reference Les Paul with super value retention and rarity factor. The guitar is in top condition with no significant playing marks.
