A 59 Les Paul like out of a picture book! Everything about this 2016 R9 is just right: look, playability and sound. First, of course, the great top with its clear, irregular flame stands out, which is very close to the look of many old Bursts. Also the color tone with the rich red portion is authentically hit here. The guitar comes in a VOS finish, so it has only matte metal hardware and otherwise no artificial playing marks. The few that are in are from the previous owner - but are only visible up close. Nevertheless, they are enough to use the guitar as a player without a bad conscience. Because that's exactly what it's there for! The neck comes with a nice grippy 59 medium profile that just feels fantastic. Soundwise the two custombuckers leave nothing to be desired. Clean beautifully pearly, transparent and three-dimensional, they really come to life with a little (or even more) distortion and provide a roasting blues and rock sound. The midrange in particular makes riffs and chords a real treat. That's what you want to hear from a top Les Paul! As mentioned, the guitar comes to you in great condition with only minimal play marks in the varnish and frets.
