The 1959 Gibson Les Paul of the guitarist of the legendary band Free, Paul Kossoff, was meticulously replicated in 2012 by the Gibson Custom Shop in an edition of only 100 specimens as a reminiscence of this larger-than-life Rock and Blues guitarist who died in 1976. Every little quirk, play mark and characteristic abrasion of the original has been faithfully reproduced. And in terms of sound the original has been followed 100%: extremely open and dynamic with fantastic resonance and great smack. From clean to distorted to high-gain, a fantastic sound spectrum and top tone is revealed here. The Medium-59 neck of this Paula with its distinctive back is really good in the hand and plays extremely comfortable. Here you simply have a hell of an instrument, which makes this Les Paul a phenomenal overall package even beyond its rarity value. Certainly, however, we must emphasize the attractiveness of this "Last Kossoff" as a collector's item as with serial number 100 it represents the very last ever produced example of this strictly limited series. So we are pleased to offer you this special gem in absolute collector condition.
