What a look - and all without a heavily flamed killer top! This Les Paul manages it alone with the combination of noble Darkburst, light flame and ultra-light aging that here simply makes your mouth water. Of course, it also reminds us of Joe Perry's '59 Les Paul, which Slash also owned for years and can be seen with it in the "November Rain" music video, among other things. As a player, the guitar is in no way inferior to its appearance. Gibson has simply nailed the neck profile here. For a 59 it is rather on the slimmer side, but still has enough on the ribs so that you have something nice in your hand here when playing. At 4.2 kg, the guitar is a bit on the heavier side, but it also comes with above-average sustain and substance in tone. The two Custombucker translate the fantastic dry sound in the usual great way to the amp. Very nuanced, plastic and three-dimensional when subtle picking, smacky and fat when you step on the distortion. A few licks played and you don't want to let this Les Paul out of your hand. If you want the complete package of rare Darkburst look, perfect playability and best vintage sound, you should not think twice here. The guitar is in mint condition.
