It comes from Gibson's Murphy Lab, where employees personally trained by Tom Murphy subject guitars to the artificial aging process according to his guidelines based on decades of experience. This Les Paul comes in the Ultra-Light version, in which hairline cracks in the lacquer, a patinated finish and individual blemishes are the main features. Many things can only be seen at second glance or from the right angle. However, you immediately notice the wonderfully authentic, partially greasy look of the beautifully dark "Southern Fade" finish, which of course immediately brings to mind the legendary "Pearly Gates" of Billy Gibbons. So if you like an elegant Darkburst with subtle aging - which is also closer to most real vintage guitars - you should get your money's worth here! As a player the guitar is in no way inferior to its appearance. The 59-Medium neck profile, which is super comfortable for all hand sizes, promises the very best playing comfort, and the sound of this great Paula is in no way inferior. Above-average sustain and substance in the tone, which the two Custombuckers bring to the amp with plenty of bite. Extremely smacky and fat when you step on the distortion, with first-class differentiation.
