Played dry, you can't get the grin off your face anymore. Super open and resonant with a very direct response. And the two Alnico III unpotted pickups transfer this sound perfectly to the amp. Classic, smacking Les Paul sound, always nicely differentiated with just the right mids and plenty of harmonics. You can really shape the sound with your fingers here. The neck has a nice 1959 authentic medium C profile with rounded shoulders. Plays great and is not as fat as some of the 58 and 59 necks. All in all a top instrument with a super authentic look and best sound characteristics in mint condition.
