So far, every guitar from the Gibson Murphy Lab has been a banger, and this '59 in the sought-after Golden Poppy Burst color is no exception. Already visually an absolute stunner with the beautiful brown portion in the burst, the clear flame on the top and the world class aging. Reminds us directly of Jimmy Page's "No. 2" Les Paul! The neck comes with the perfect '59 medium profile and plays just as pleasantly as you'd expect from a major league Les Paul. And then the sound! Dry already very woody and balanced, the two custombuckers provide a transparent, but when needed also creamy-smooth sound, as you usually only know it from vintage Gibsons with PAFs. Truly incredible how three-dimensional the sound presents itself here and can be shaped down to the smallest nuance. At the moment, security locks are installed, but the original strap pins are of course included. If you want the maximum in terms of authenticity, you will get a Les Paul for life with this guitar.
