Gibson Les Paul 59 Mike McCready Aged (2016)

Word should have gotten around by now that we are huge fans of the McCready Les Pauls - after all, we already had more than a dozen of these amazing guitars on offer. By now this has become somewhat rarer as the McCreadys are one of the most sought-after series and have virtually disappeared from the market at the moment. The fact that we are able to offer you this guitar in the Aged version, limited to just 100 specimens, with the serial number 33 is by no means a matter of course. Especially as the guitar has a beautiful top grain and a phenomenal color tone. A clear flame that shows itself in completely different facets depending on the viewing angle - great! And as a player's guitar with its extremely comfortable 59-Medium neck profile and its ideal weight of 4050 grams, which optimizes the interplay of best playability and perfect swinging mass, hardly any other Les Paul can beat it so quickly. Even when played dry the fat, balanced sound is a joy to behold. At the amp the Custombuckers work wonders and add a good pinch of transparency, directness and sparkle to the thick basic sound. Simply the perfect '59 tone! In Mike's own words: “I always use it when we play Alive.This 1959 Les Paul plays like no other guitar I have. The neck is great and the sounds are versatile. Alive is a big deal for us and I want the best guitar for it.” What a great overall package of killer sound, best player characteristics and phenomenal look! The previous owner had the four potentiometers temporarily replaced, but the original ones are now back in the guitar. As the pots were removed in one piece there were no changes to the wiring and there is nothing to be seen on the solder joints. The guitar will therefore go to its future owner in top condition.
