We are pleased to be able to offer you an exclusive special order from Musikhaus Hermann. Certainly with MHH upgrade specs and woods specially selected by Jörg Hermann in terms of grain and weight. And Jörg has hit the bull's eye again: this Les Paul weighs just 3470 grams and has such a pronounced grain and perfect bookmatching that it's hard to believe. The “Butterscotch Unburst” finish is also a unique feast for the eyes in combination with the extra dark selected rosewood fingerboard and the great “Authentic Heavy Aging”, which refines the finish of the guitar with countless hairline cracks and authentic quirks. In addition, attention was of course paid to complete bone gluing and the use of true-historic parts. This attention to detail combined with the guitar's dream weight, the super comfortable “MHH CC 59 to 60 Authentic” neck profile and the wider frets results in first-class playability, but the absolute highlight of this gem is definitely its sound. Murphy-spec Custombumchers have been installed here (underwound on the neck), which transmit the extremely resonant basic character of the guitar to the amp in the best possible way. Fast response, fantastic sustain, growling bass, wiry mids and radiant highs! At clean amp settings the neck pickup is wonderfully warm, transparent, three-dimensional and never undifferentiated or muddy in the bass. With higher gain settings you can hear the so-called “bloom effect”, the blossoming of the tone for which old PAF pickups are known. Whether Michael Bloomfield, Billy Gibbons or Gary Moore - anything is possible here! Depending on the gain setting the bridge pickup impresses with snap, bite and smack without ever being too intrusive. Crisp riffs reach the ear with the same naturalness as chunky chords or fat leads. In addition, the “Out of Phase” center position of both pickups with slightly reduced output delivers great sounds with a nasal basic character. We are pleased to be able to offer you this very special Paula in mint condition. ...and of course it also comes with the typical MHH upgrade recognition feature, the abalone dot on the 21st fret.
