Every now and then the guys from GuitarPoint in Frankfurt have replicas of their favorite original Bursts built by the Gibson Custom Shop. They choose the exact specs and the beautifully grained tops themselves in the Gibson halls of Nashville, TN. And the result is beautifully demonstrated by this specimen. Killer top, awesome color, perfect light weight of only 3850 grams as well as the very best playing characteristics due to “rolled” fingerboard edges, the slightly higher frets and a super comfortable 59-Medium neck profile. The sound is also in the absolute top league! The previous owner gave the Les Paul an official upgrade by having the legendary ThroBak “DT-102 MXV” pickups and “Area 59” electronics installed. And this expensive upgrade really packs a punch! The ThroBaks do a fantastic job of translating the guitar's first-class vibration behavior to the amp. Every playing nuance is reproduced, fantastic tone, super fast response, smacking, differentiated PAF sound with great overtones and sufficient mids. Whether singing high-gain, slightly distorted Blues or grippy clean sounds, you get everything in top form here!
