Today we are proud to offer you a guitar for which even we have no words. It is a one-off piece that was produced specifically for Joe Bonamassa himself, played by him as tour guitar and featured prominently on the concert posters as well as on the cover of the tour program and the DVD "Live in Amsterdam". It was in 2011 when Joe recorded the album "Don't Complain" with Blues-Rock singer Beth Hart as part of new musical adventures. The two then went on a European tour with their new material, for which Joe wanted a guitar that would make him the eye-catcher at every concert. So in 2012 he commissioned the Gibson Custom Shop to make him exactly this guitar, based on a '59 reissue. Joe personally selected the wood and asked for his name to be included as an inlay in the fretboard. This Les Paul is the very first Gibson to feature such decoration, which would later also be used on other instruments. ...and what a great look he has put together here. In terms of the interesting grain and the incredible color gradient in the wonderful gloss finish this Paula is probably one of the most beautiful we have ever had on offer. And the fingerboard with this very special inlay is just awesome! When it comes to sound, we have to emphasize that this Les Paul is also one of the best we've ever heard. When choosing the pickups Bonamassa opted for "special-made" Custombuckers that came closest to his specific sound ideas. Of course the playability is also absolutely top-class thanks to the medium neck profile and an absolute dream weight of just 3590 grams. Hardly surprising when you consider that Joe, who probably has one of the largest guitar collections in the world, used this gem throughout the whole tour. And judging by the wear and tear, Joe must have really enjoyed this guitar. So we are pleased that we can offer you this absolute collector's dream, for which unfortunately there cannot be enough superlatives. If you want to experience the master with his Les Paul, here is the video at the corresponding time stamp: Live in Amsterdam
