We are very happy to offer you a really special Les Paul: a 59 Historic Select "Beauty of the Burst Jeff Beck" Aged! This killer Paula was built as part of the Gibson Custom Shop's Historic Select series as an exact replica of Jeff Beck's 1959 Les Paul, which is featured in Yasuhiko Iwanade's "The Beauty of the Burst" on page 90f (see pictures 24 and 25). In doing so, the Custom Shop guys wanted to accurately recreate the spirit of Beck's '59 Les Paul with its custom finish, uncovered pickups and an aging that gives it the proper patina. The Historic Select finish is as close to this as we've rarely seen, with an era adequate thinner finish, use of Hide-Glue, as well as plastic parts in just the right color, made from the right materials to the original specifications. The top in Teaburst finish shows incredible grain, fantastic bookmatching and is littered with countless hairline cracks and minute dings. The neck with its Early-50s rounded profile feels rich and comfortable in the hand and is effortless to play, simply extremely comfortable. Fittingly, we have here an absolute lightweight with 3780 grams! But the absolute killer is the tone of this sound grenade. Even when played dry, it shows an above-average resonant basic character, which is perfectly transmitted to the amp by the two Custombuckers. Super attack, fast response, phenomenal tone! We have rarely heard a Paula that smacks like this! This guitar really talks to you! So, if you want a beautiful Les Paul with the best possible sound, which also has its place in music history, this is the guitar for you! And the fact that it was featured in "The Beauty of the Burst" of course guarantees the very best value retention. The guitar is (including frets) in mint condition.
