“The Beast”, one of the most popular representatives of the Collectors Choice series, was modeled on the original Les Paul with the serial number 9-1914, which always accompanied Bernie Marsden, the legendary guitarist of Whitesnake, in his decades-long career. The CC8 series is limited to just 300 specimens and today we have the special pleasure of being able to offer you the special serial number 200. As if the great rarity value of a “Beast” wasn't enough, Bernie Marsden himself signed the cover plate of the electronics compartment on 21.12.2019 during a visit at Guitar Point. As expected, this rare collector's item also has an absolutely top sound, the very best playability and a fantastic appearance. Wonderfully authentic look with a fantastic flame top, pronounced grain, great color gradient and aging that meticulously replicates the look of Bernie's original '59 with a multitude of hairline cracks, quirks and abrasions. The neck with its Medium 59 profile is extremely comfortable to play, it is neither too thick nor too thin and fits perfectly in the hand. As with all the Beasts we've had so far we particularly like the sound here: super balanced, warm, bluesy and transparent as required, but also nice and snappy and biting with distortion. As multifaceted as the Les Paul is you feel at home in any style of music. This “Beast” comes from a collector's hand and is including the frets in top condition.
