The Gibson Collectors Choice CC #46 "Kathryn" is an exact replica of the '59 Les Paul that is now owned by Scott Bradoka. In addition to the fact that this is the very last guitar in the Collectors Choice series the special thing about "Kathryn" is that, unlike many other Collectors Choice models, it was made entirely to True Historic specifications with selected woods, hide glue, super-thin nitrocellulose lacquer etc. And with this "Kathryn" we have a very special, extremely resonant lightweight with only 3790 grams and a really exceptionally beautiful appearance. An absolute dream top with a fantastic grain, meticulous bookmatching and great, extremely authentic aging. With its 59-Medium neck profile it offers the very best playability and its sound is simply awesome. It is often said that real old Bursts also have a certain Strat quality, that they sound pearly and are by no means muddy or too bass-heavy. And that's exactly what Gibson has done brilliantly with this Kathryn. The neck pickup sparkles beautifully and is even ideal for rhythm sounds.
