Limited to just 300 specimens the "Spoonful Burst" is one of the most sought-after Collectors Choice guitars ever. And one look at this CC#13 should be enough to understand this. The very best aging, super authentic and a fantastic look with the finest woods, the best workmanship and a phenomenal sound. The "Spoonful Burst" is a faithful replica of the 1959 Les Paul with the serial number 9-1352, originally purchased in Florida and later played by John Sebastian, the guitarist of the "Lovin' Spoonful", on numerous tours and studio recordings. Since 1993 it has been in the possession of Gordon Kennedy, a guitarist and collector from Nashville, TN. This CC#13 immediately impresses with its beautiful "Faded Dirty Lemon Burst" color. In contrast to most other Collectors Choice guitars its neck is somewhat grippier, almost a '58 profile, but by no means too fat or bulky thanks to the rounded shoulders. Two perfectly balanced Custombuckers (Alnico II and III) were used on the "Spoonful Burst", which deliver a top sound, warm, bluesy and transparent as required, but also wonderfully smacky and biting with distortion. Extremely multifaceted this Les Paul feels at home in any style of music. In the past we have already made ample reference to the excellent value retention of Collectors Choice guitars. But the fact that you also get a beautiful player with the highest fun factor makes the "Spoonful Burst" all the more interesting. We are delighted to be able to offer you this Paula in top condition with only minimal traces of use on the first few frets.
