Only recently we wrote on these pages that it is extremely rare for a CC#29 "Tamio Okuda" to arrive at our door. So of course we are more than delighted to be able to offer you a second one today. This one is serial number 059 (of 300 specimens) in the aged version. This aging is also really heavy on the back and rather subtle on the front. The result is a super authentic vintage patina, which is immediately apparent on this top instrument. In terms of specs, this replica of the '59 original, which is the main guitar of Japanese producer and guitar legend Tamio Okuda, has some special features. You get a really strong neck here, which is more reminiscent of a '58 than a '59. However, it is very comfortably shaped and therefore ideal for anyone who wants to make no compromises when it comes to playing comfort and still have something to hold. Furthermore "57 Classic" humbuckers are installed here, which are a little more treble-heavy than the usual Custombuckers. They really sparkle out of the speakers, just like many original PAF humbuckers. Nevertheless the guitar is never harsh, neither clean nor distorted, but masters the entire frequency spectrum of the classic burst sound in the most beautiful way. In combination with the swing mass of the neck this really is a banging sound with plenty of sustain! Last but not least the ideal weight of just 3750 grams must be emphasized, which is really fantastic for a Collectors Choice. The previous owner had temporarily replaced the pickups, but in the meantime the original ones have been installed again. As a result the solder joints have of course been touched, but otherwise we can offer you this really good overall package, in which sound, appearance, playability and value are extremely harmonious, except for minimal traces of play on the first three frets in top condition. Whether you are a player or a collector, you should not miss out on such a gem!
