Sandy - one of the most sought-after Collectors Choice guitars from the Gibson Custom Shop. The CC#4 was faithfully recreated in 2012 from the 1959 Les Paul with serial number 9-1228 owned by Tom Wittrock and released in an edition of only 300 copies. This copy with serial number 105 impresses with its phenomenally beautiful top as soon as you open the case. We've seen a few Sandies over the years, but this CC#4 might be the Sandy with the truly most beautiful top: incredible grain, great Dirty Lemon Sunburst and super authentic vintage patina that is extremely close to the 59 original. But also sonically this Les Paul is at its best! Even dry played it shows an above-average sound behavior, which the two Zebra-Humbucker excellently transmit to the amp with great sustain and substance. Friends of a top Rock-Paula get their money's worth here. Played clean extremely nuanced, plastic and three-dimensional, with distortion smacky, fat and uncompromising. Sandies are hard to come by on the used market anyway, but you definitely shouldn't miss out on such a fantastic specimen. So, you have to be quick! The previous owner had replaced the pickups for a short period. But as he is a trained radio technician, he did a masterly job of soldering, so the solder joints look like untouched.
