Meanwhile some Custom Shop Les Pauls are as sought after as historical originals - and similarly difficult to get. At the top of the list is Collector's Choice #1, the replica of the original Les Paul by Peter Green in the condition as owned by Gary Moore later. Unlike the previous owner, he mounted Sperzel tuners and two 60s silverface poti caps on "Greeny". In addition, his not exactly squeamish playing style contributed significantly to the aging process of the original. In 2011 Gibson measured the guitar and rebuilt it detail by detail in a limited run. This model was to be the start of the Collector's Choice series, which today includes the most sought-after Custom Shop guitars. The fact that we can offer you the very low serial number 005 from CC#1 is a small miracle - Gary Moore "Greenys" are extremely rare on the market. Our specimen also has a very nice top, which looks very similar to the original.
