This Paula has never been officially offered for sale and the previous owner received it directly from the hands of legendary collector Melvyn Franks. Of course it is well known that the “Collectors Choice #1”, the replica of Peter Green's original Paula as owned in later days by Gary Moore with all his characteristic modifications, is probably the most sought-after Les Paul from the Gibson Custom Shop. In 2010 Gibson measured the original and rebuilt it true to detail in a limited edition of just 125 specimens. This model was also the starting signal for the Collectors Choice series, in which the Custom Shop's most sought-after guitars can be found today. Gary Moore “Greenys” are extremely rare on the market and finding one of the most sought-after and highly traded single digits is therefore almost impossible. This makes it all the more fantastic that today we are in the incredible position of being able to offer you this specimen with the unbelievable serial number 001. It should also be noted that during the production of the 125 “Greeny” replicas, especially in the case of numbers 001 and 002 great care was taken to replicate the appearance of the original as meticulously and with as much attention to detail as possible, making these two guitars almost indistinguishable from the original. In addition to these absolutely unique features and its unrivaled rarity and collector's value this Les Paul also looks really good, was personally aged by Tom Murphy and is a dream player including the characteristic “out of phase” sound.
