Gibson Les Paul 59 70th Anniversary M2M VOS (2022)

This Les Paul began its life in 2022 as a “Made to Measure” special order, which got equipped with the exclusive “CC1 Butterscotch Burst” color, a fully-faded back, a 4A flame top and in keeping with the “Greeny” finish an “Out of Phase” circuit. And what a stunning look! The top grain is fantastically beautiful, extremely pronounced with great bookmatching and of course immediately brings to mind the Paula of Peter Green and Gary Moore. With such an attractive top one is also pleased with the VOS finish, which appears without any major signs of aging. But that wasn't enough for the previous owner, so he made a few more upgrades to turn this Les Paul into the ultimate dream guitar. He had 550k Burst Taper pots from Area 59 and the ThroBaks “SLE 101 MXV” pickups (Double-Whites, list price: $750), which are only available in the USA, professionally installed. And these upgrades have really paid off! With reduced output the already very resonant lightweight (only 3890 grams) is extremely transparent and clear on the amplifier. Clean extremely warm, transparent, three-dimensional and the bass is never undifferentiated or muddy. At higher gain settings all sounds from Gary Moore to Mike Bloomfield to Bill Gibbons can be covered in the best possible way. The bridge pickup is fat and smacky with rich bass and biting, but never shrill highs. Absolutely top league in terms of sound! But this Les Paul also delivers the very best playing characteristics. The neck with its Medium 59 profile and rounded shoulders is super comfortable to hold and together with the ideal weight of the guitar offers maximum playing comfort. The Paula comes to its future owner in top condition and of course with the original pickups. Top look, optimal upgrades, absolutely exceptional sound and best playability, ... you better be quick!
