Even after so many years, they still exist. These incredible instruments where you only have to open the case to be amazed. This '59 Murphy Burst is just such an example. Tom Murphy and Ed Wilson personally selected all the woods for these models and Tom Murphy then personally varnished each one, hence the name "Murphy Burst". Ed Wilson and Tom Murphy also personally signed the case. In addition, the electronics compartment is still signed by Murphy. This series was built especially for the 20th anniversary of the Gibson Custom Shop and is strictly limited. There are only 25 of this guitar in the Japan Limited Lemon Burst version worldwide, and only a handful have made it to Europe. All the more we are happy to offer this absolute dream guitar. The Lemon Burst is including the slightly greenish discoloration of the armrest exactly on the point. Sonically, it can even top the optics. Very open, absolutely resonant and incredible sustain behavior. The Custombuckers do an excellent job here. The ultimate Les Paul for every collector, player & studio guitarist. The guitar has been played and has some playing marks like belt buckle scratches and a few dings and dongs, nothing major .The frets are as good as new.
