Two things immediately catch the eye when you open the case of this 1958 Les Paul from 2018. Firstly, it has exactly the awesome look you want from a '58 reissue: a great plaintop with just a hint of a flame. And secondly, an extremely cool Lemon Burst in a super authentic VOS finish. This is how you would want a Paula from this iconic year of guitar making. But it's not just the look that is convincing across the board, this guitar is also absolutely top class in terms of sound and playability. When you pick it up you are immediately impressed by the excellent feel. The neck is more of a slightly stronger 59 neck, so it doesn't have the typical fat 58 profile. In addition, with its rounded shoulders it sits perfectly in the hand and in combination with the ideal weight of 3970 grams offers unparalleled comfort when playing. Even when played dry you can feel the great resonance of this Les Paul, which vibrates superbly. At the amp it turns out to be a real Rock monster. Smacking, fat, differentiated sound with very good dynamics. Rich mids, assertive and full of character. All in all we are dealing with an absolute top-class Paula, which offers in addition to its awesome looks, excellent playing characteristics and a dream look first-class value for money. The guitar comes without pickguard and is in top condition apart from a few minor signs of use and minimal signs of play on the first three frets.
