This magnificent specimen of a '58 Les Paul comes from a special series limited to 25 pieces, which comes up with several special features. First of all, both the maple top and the mahogany body are hand-selected and the guitar comes in the special color Slow Ice Tea Fade, similar to the finish of Billy Gibbons' "Pearly Gates" Les Paul. The 25 Les Pauls in this series were the first heavy-aged 58s in 2013, with the aging pattern clearly based on the Collector's Choice #7 John Shanks. And last but not least, this one comes with a black pickguard as standard, giving the guitar a special but very cool look (see photo)! However, we wouldn't recommend this Les Paul to you because of these collector features. But because it is simply a great guitar! The neck is nice and strong and plays like butter. Even unamplified you notice that the guitar is snappy and responsive. And the sound at the amp finally takes your shoes off. The two Custombuckers sound so crisp and airy, as it is rarely heard even on Les Pauls from the dream year 2013. Of course, there's still enough warmth and smackiness for all the typical Les Paul sounds. We are happy to offer you this killer player in top condition!
