The Collector's Choice Les Paul number 15 is the replica of the original 1958 Burst owned by country pioneer and Grammy Award winner Greg Martin of the Kentucky Headhunters. The first thing you notice here is the top with its subtle but interesting grain. Depending on the viewing angle you can see a plain top but also a subtle flame. Subtle and just super authentic! The neck has just the right profile - by no means a thick cliché 58 baseball bat, but an extremely comfortable playing neck that feels a bit thicker than a medium 59. The guitar's fresh and vibrant fundamental sound is transmitted to the amp with plenty of smack and sustain from the two Custombuckers. For the fact that Greg Martin comes from the country the guitar sounds amazingly rocking! When distorted the sun really comes up and the CC invites you to rock the riff on the bridge and sing lead lines on the neck. Combined with the great playing comfort you simply get a fantastic Les Paul with a subtle aging look for all situations in life, which is also in top condition.
