It is truly fascinating to see what coherent, soundmighty and artfully crafted guitars keep coming out of the Gibson Murphy Lab. This is also the case with this fantastic 1957 Goldtop in the “Ultra Heavy Aging” version with the most beautiful "Double Gold" finish. It's phenomenal how countless hairline cracks, paint chips and countless flaws pour over the patinated surface. Especially with the gold lacquer this results in an extremely interesting look that constantly changes depending on the respective perspective. But in terms of feel and sound we are also in the absolute top league here! When playing you immediately notice the guitar's above-average resonance behavior and the super pleasant Chunky C-profile of the neck, which sits really well in the hand and in combination with the perfectly dressed frets invites you to whizz across the fingerboard. As with many good goldtops the sound is a real Rock grenade. In addition to the warmth and fullness there is an extra portion of bite, which is particularly useful for distorted sounds. Smacking, differentiated sound with a super tone! With this outstanding Paula you really don't know whether you're dealing with a “work of art” or still with an all-round perfect instrument. Fortunately you don't have to decide here as this fantastic Les Paul, which we can offer you in mint condition, more than meets both requirements.
