If you like goldtops, this is the ultimate Les Paul for you, because it comes in the True Historic version as well as with Murphy Aging! Both very rare, and in combination almost not at all to get. Already at the first opening of the case you can't get the grin out of your face, because Tom Murphy has done a great job with the aging: Body and headstock are covered by a myriad of finest hairline cracks and a tastefully placed dings and dongs complete the overall picture. In the hand, the first thing you notice is the perfect neck, whose profile tends to the beefier side for a 57, but plays just super comfortable. With its swing mass, it gives the guitar an immense fullness even dry, which is paired here with direct response. At the amp, the same impression: The Custombucker sounds crisp and present , but also delivers a lot of warmth and creaminess for singing lead sounds. That's what you want in a 57! The only thing we have to note here is that there is a tiny dent in the binding and fingerboard at the 12th fret. However, it is hard to see and it has no influence on the playing practice at all. Otherwise the guitar is in top condition.
