This brand new '57 Goldtop comes from Gibson's Murphy Lab, where trained staff subject guitars to the aging process according to Tom Murphy's principles. Here we have the ultra-light variant, where only a few hairline cracks and dongs are added afterwards. Therefore, a lot of things can only be seen at second glance or from the right angle. So if you like subtle aging - which is also closer to most real vintage guitars - you should get your money's worth here! Dry, the massive tone is noticeable here, which should come from the beefy neck and the slightly higher weight of 4.05 kg. The unpotted Alnico III Custombucker translate this basic sound quite 57er-appropriately with a lot of bite to the amp. Awesome sound for rock, but also pearly clean tones. The guitar is in mint condition!
