We are still waiting ... for the first guitar from the Gibson Murphy Lab that we don't like! In any case, this '57 Goldtop is an absolute beast. From the very first look, it's clear why the "Light Aging" version is so hard to come by on the used market. Here we have exactly the golden mean between "Ultra Light" and "Heavy Aging", with clear hairline cracks and many small quirks, which nevertheless do not immediately catch your eye. And that's exactly what most real vintage Les Pauls look like! No wonder that only few of those who could get hold of such a guitar want to sell it again. Especially since there is no dry eye in terms of sound and playability. The neck impresses with medium profile and perfectly aligned frets, so that one flies here only so over the fingerboard. And then the sound ... transparent, brilliant and yet balanced. At the bridge, the hard rock sun rises with a little bit of distortion, the neck pickup spoils with a singing sound that never muddles even in the lower registers. These are exactly the qualities you know and love from the real 1957s! We can offer you the Goldtop in mint, almost unplayed condition.
