If you're looking for the best possible player goldtop, you can't go wrong with this 1957 Les Paul from 2019 - here look, sound and handling come together in the best way. The gold finish of this guitar gets a nice vintage twist from the VOS finish, matching the aged hardware and yellowish faded pickup frame and pickguard. In terms of playability, the first thing that stands out is the unusual combination of fat neck and light weight of 3,750 grams. But it is exactly this mixture that the guitar sounds like, dry as on the amp: Lots of sustain, lots of tone, but always airy-light and transparent. Clean nice pearly, distorted when needed biting, but always full and rich thanks to the mass of the neck. Great tone!!! By the way, the neck plays thanks to perfectly dressed frets and simply gorgeous and despite chunky C-profile, it can be whizzed here without speed limit.
