Gibson Les Paul 54 Custom Heavy Aged PSL Limited (2015)

Here we have for sure one of the rarest Les Pauls available at the moment ! The designation PSL stands here for "pre sold limited". That means this Les Paul was made in smallest edition and in this case it is the 54 version of the Robbie Krieger Les Paul without his pickup modification. The aging is exactly the same as on the Robbie Krieger, even the Bigsby holes were included in the aging here. I have rarely seen such an exact and detailed aging on a LP Custom. The only difference to the Robbie Krieger is that Gibson kept the exact specs of the original 54 Les Paul. The bridge pickup is a P90 like on the Robbie Krieger, but on the neck we have an Alnico pickup here. The resonance and vibration behavior of this Les Paul is absolutely above average. Played dry, it is very loud and resonant. At the amp it convinces 100%. The P90 is direct and optimal for all rock 'n roll sounds. Beautifully direct and not at all thin. The Alnico on the neck is the blues pickup par excellence. Beautiful, singing, bluesy sounds with a super tone. Typical 59 neck, nice grip, but not too fat at all. Hammer guitar with dream look and in mint condition !
