The cult Les Paul par excellence ... one of the first 200 59 RI Les Pauls that were aged by Murphy. We already had the pleasure to offer one of these 40th Anniversary Murphy Paulas, which was sold immediately. These Les Pauls were very select guitars at that time, which were painted in the Thin Lacquer Finish, like the real Bursts, at the very beginning. This process was then quickly discontinued because it was too costly. The lacquer is so thin that you can feel all the pores in the wood grain on the back. This also makes it vibrate particularly well. It was the first year of correct specs : correct neck profile and correct neck pickup position. And the last year of "Good Wood" : selected Honduras Mahogany and "AAA" hard maple top, like the real old ones. Very nice subtle aging with countless hairline cracks that couldn't even be captured in the pictures. Not only looks awesome, but sounds it. Open, resonant, differentiated with a killer tone. When playing solo, you get the feeling that the guitar is really talking. Dream neck with medium to grippy profile and top-notch dressed frets. Here the True Historics really have to warm up, especially since the guitar is also 17 years old. The guitar also comes with an official confirmation from Gibson that this is indeed one of the very rare 40th Anniversary Murphy Les Pauls. The original pickups were out for a short time, but are now cleanly soldered back in. In the meantime, non-Murphy Les Pauls from the 40th Anniversary series are offered for up to 10.000,- and the Murphys are almost impossible to get. Incredibly good Les Paul in top condition!
