I'm always happy when we get a Les Paul from the 60th Anniversary Series. Simply incredible, what Gibson delivers here in terms of wood selection, workmanship, sound and playability. This is also the case with this 1960 Les Paul. Where the name 1960 here almost no longer applies, because there are the 1960s in three different variants. V1, V2 and V3. The V1 profile corresponds to a very early 60s, which actually still has the 59s specs, including the 59s neck profile. So the neck profile is definitely not a slim taper, but rather a medium 59 profile. Fits great in the hand and plays great with the slightly thicker frets. The look here is also at its best. Very nice, authentic top in combination with a beautiful Antiquity Burst. When it comes to the sound, I go into raptures again. Direct, resonant, smacking and very balanced and differentiated. Here you can work great with the sound and the guitar responds to the finest touch dynamics. The guitar is as good as unplayed, in almost mint condition.
