Gibson Les Paul 1957 Goldtop True Historic Murphy Aged (2015)

This '57 Goldtop True Historic, aged by Tom Murphy, really goes beyond all superlatives! Absolute dream weight with only 3470 grams. Of course the question arises as to whether this guitar has been chambered. And to be 100% sure, it was x-rayed by a doctor and the x-rays are even included, ...100% solid body. Played dry, the sun rises here! Super resonant with a fantastic vibration behavior. Despite its low weight it still has fat mids and basses. To optimize the sound on the amp the previous owner opted for the highest quality pickups you can get in the boutique area: the handwound OX4 pickups. You can't get any closer to the original, old PAF sound. You can find everything about these pickups at this link (OX4 Pickups). And as if that wasn't enough, Tom Murphy has done some super authentic aging here. The gold tone is perfect and all the aging marks are in exactly the right places. If you're looking for the ultimate goldtop, but don't want to spend EUR 100,000 on an original '57, this is the one for you. And to be honest, you first have to find an old one that sounds like this.

  • Including original case, certificate, hangtags, OX4 pickups
  • Weight: 3470 grams
