This 57 Les Paul Goldtop Heavy Aged Handselected was originally not available in Germany. It was made in a very small edition by the masters Wilson and Murphy especially for the Japanese market. One copy found its way to Musikhaus Hermann and I really have to say that the two specialists Murphy and Wilson made an unbelievable job of it! The aging is simply insane. Super authentic about the numerous cracks, dings and dongs, traces of play up to the greenish yellowed parts, which are exactly the same with the real old Goldtops. Especially with the hand rest on the upper edge of the body the color tone simply 1:1 hit. Looks like they wanted to go the extra mile for the Japanese. And the guitar sounds awesome as well. The custombuckers do a great job here! Smacking, differentiated sound with great tone. Just like you would want from a real old goldtop. 57 neck profile, very close to the 59 profile with the rounded Shoulders. Top player with unbeatable looks and rarity value. The guitar is in mint condition and the frets have no play marks. And unlike the new Murphy Lab Les Pauls, this one is still aged by Master Murphy himself.
