In search of the ultimate Les Paul 57 Goldtop ? This Goldtop comes from the so-called Made to Made to Measure series and comes up with features that are very hard to find. By Tom Murphy and Edwin Wilson hand selected woods, all True Historic Specs, Murphy Heavy Aged, only 3550 grams ! Only very few of these guitars were made and only a handful of them came to Europe. The Aging is outstanding ... countless hairline cracks, play marks and dings and dongs. Super authentic ! The neck has exactly the profile of the real old 57 GT's. Lies between the 59 and 60 necks, so no chunky neck. Plays dreamlike, not too thick, not too thin, very pleasant rounded shoulders. But the best is the sound. Swings great. Smacks, is differentiated and has great overtones. Convinces both clean and distorted. Great attack and great tone. And the previous owner has put one more on it! The potis have been replaced with Vintage inspired Potis and the Bumle Bees with Luxe Paper in Oil Bumble Bees, with the best replacement parts you can get at the moment. The guitar is as good as new and the current price of these masterpieces is about 12.000,- Euro, if you get one with True Historic Specs !
