The 2008 Gibson Les Paul Inspired by Slash Aged & Signed is a replica of Slash's No.1, one of two guitars he received from Gibson in 1988 and subsequently used on the "Appetite for Destruction" tour. It was meticulously recreated by aging guru Tom Murphy himself to recreate every scuff, dent, burn mark, as well as the original patina of this guitar. Even a repaired break on the lower neck was suggested. However, he oriented himself to the appearance of the guitar in 1988 before Slash wrote music history with it. The latter says: "This is the replica of the original 1988 Les Paul I had before I beat the hell out of it. It's sort of a trip for me to see it because it actually looks like the guitar after I had it refinished in 1988." Since the Gibson Custom Shop released this Aged & Signed version only in a strictly limited edition of 100 pieces it is of course of great rarity value and hardly available anymore. So we are even more pleased to offer you #093 in top condition (including the frets). It is equipped with Slash's favorite Alnico II Humbuckers by Seymour Duncan, which of course leave nothing to be desired: smacky, roasty, but also transparent with perfect string separation - you won't find a rock sound like this a second time! The Slash neck profile, which is neither too thick nor too thin, feels great in the hand and the faded Heritage Cherry Sunburst gives the guitar a wonderful vintage look. If you want to feel the touch of history while owning an unconditional rock axe with great looks and great playability, don't wait too long here!
