As much a work of art as a functional electric guitar! Here we have a truly unique Gibson: the Les Paul “Bella Voce” from the Crimson department of the Gibson Custom Shop. First of all its fabulous gloss finish in “Purple Haze” with an overwhelming top grain of the 5A quilted maple is fascinating. Of course this semi-hollow features the characteristic f-holes, a chambered mahogany body and above all countless pearloid/abalone inlays as well as masterfully engraved, gold-colored hardware. The fingerboard, armrest and pickguard are a single sea of enchanting garlands. The neck heel of the guitar is carved to a design by Bruce Kunkel, a Nashville Custom Shop institution. This immense attention to detail really has to be seen in person to be fully appreciated. Individual designs can be found on even the smallest metal parts such as the stopbar tailpiece, the humbucker covers or the tuners. ...you would probably have to spend several days looking at this Les Paul to really discover and appreciate every detail. The pictures speak for themselves. But this Paula also shines with special inner values, a full and warm sound and top-level playability. Of course the weight of this gem is wonderfully comfortable with only 3520 grams, the medium neck profile sits perfectly in the hand and the proven “Classic 57” humbuckers deliver the finest double-coil sound. Lovers of Classic Rock and Blues will feel particularly at home here.
