And again an absolute highlight from the Signature Series from the Gibson Custom Shop. This time a signature instrument was dedicated to the successful Texas blues and country hero Lee Roy Parnell. The "Abilene Sunset Burst" finish reflects the play of colours of a sunset over the plains of the Lone Star State. The maple top here is truly a dream. Nice and wide and wildly flamed. The "Lee Roy Parnell Custom '59" neck profile is rather strong, somewhere between '59 and '58 profile. The Classic 57 humbuckers are a perfect fit to the very resonant basic character of the guitar. It’s a wonderful guitar for clean and slightly distorted sounds where you can shape the tone very nicely by the velocity of your playing. Really good classic Les Paul with the sought-after light strat part and exactly the right midrange part. Even with high gain sounds always well differentiated and balanced without mud. This is a real joy to play and the look is killer anyways! The condition is as good as new without any traces of playing. With only 3750 grams, it’s also a lightweight!
