Here is the SG for those who want it without Maestro Vibrola in its most primal form. Stoptail/tailpiece, dark cherry and the fantastic heavy aging of the Murphy Lab - that's just how it has to look! Inseparable from a '61 are also the "Les Paul" lettering on the trussrod cover, the small pickguard and the "Slim Taper" neck. This is the first thing you notice when you take the guitar out of the case. Really very authentic slim neck profile, on which you immediately want to push the gas pedal all the way to the floor when playing. The guitar plays so fast that you really have to slow down here! The great playing feel is complimented by the well-known fantastic sound of the Custombuckers. Smacky, fat and still very three-dimensional when you slowly turn down the volume pot while on distortion sounds. Just right for AC/DC and Co., but also for clean tones and even Jazz makes this SG a great figure. In addition, the SG-typical dream weight of just over 3kg. All around a killer player, which also convinces visually 100% by the aging of the Murphy Lab. In addition this is a custom build as part of the "Made to Measure" program. Since a 61 SG without Vibrola is not offered by the Gibson Custom Shop in its regular production it gives this rock grenade an additional rarity value.
