It is often underestimated what you can get out of a guitar with only one pickup. But every time you get your hands on a good Les Paul Junior, you wonder why you needed a neck pickup all those years. That's exactly the case with this 57 Junior Reissue from the Custom Shop. Here you fall in love three times. First, the look of the guitar, because the classic sunburst is just super authentic here. And even though you can only guess at it in the photos, the gauzy nitro finish really lets the wood texture of the body come through. Secondly, the guitar feels great. The neck is really fat, but fantastically shaped and plays very slinky with a not-too-high string action. On top of that, it gives the guitar great resonance and sustain due to its mass. Even without the amp, you can guess how juicy riffs and solos will come out of here. And that's exactly how it is. Once you hear the guitar amplified, you really don't want to give it up. The Dog-Ear-P90 covers everything you need in terms of frequency. Nice and snappy for riffs in the lower registers, but also fat and warm enough to carry solo licks and singles. And it doesn't matter if it's clean, crunchy or really distorted. So here you don't get a special guitar for just one sound, but an instrument that can handle just about anything. The guitar has some signs of use in the varnish on the back of the neck, but is otherwise in top condition. Our player tip!!
