That's exactly how it is with this 57 Junior Reissue from the Gibson Custom Shop. You fall in love with it three times over. Firstly, the look of the guitar, because the classic, characteristic "TV Yellow" is not only super authentic here, but also provides a first-class vintage look in combination with the great VOS finish. And even if you can only just begin to see it in the photos the wafer-thin nitrocellulose lacquer really lets the wood structure of the body come through beautifully. Secondly, the guitar also feels great. The neck with its Chunky-C profile is pleasantly strong, fantastically shaped and plays extremely slinky with a not too high string action. What's more, its mass gives the guitar great resonance and sustain. Even without an amp you can guess how juicy riffs and solos will come out of the amp. And that's exactly the case! When you hear the Junior amplified you really don't want to put it down. The Dog-Ear-P90 covers everything you could ever need in terms of frequency. Nicely snappy for riffs in the lower registers, but also fat and warm enough to carry solo licks and single notes. Whether clean, crunchy or really distorted!
