Even though he can now be seen more often with "Greeny" - for years, Kirk Hammett's first choice when it came to Les Paul sounds for Metallica was a black 1989 Les Paul Custom. Now Gibson has built a replica of the legendary guitar and we are proud to offer you No. 099 of this limited series in top condition. One of the special features is the "Blacked Out" optics, in which the gold hardware has been replaced with black, just like the original. Together with the true-to-original aging of the Murphy Lab, this results in an ultra-cool, completely black look. The two T-Type humbuckers - 490R on the neck and 498T on the bridge - are joined by a Fishman bridge with piezo, which significantly expands the sound options. You can add the piezo with the lower tone pot - or hear it completely solo if you turn down the volume pots of the humbuckers. Otherwise, it really packs a punch! In terms of sound, the guitar delivers exactly what it promises visually and delivers heavy goodness with eternal sustain. The neck has a pleasant medium profile that makes heavy riffing and speeding through the upper registers equally fun.
