Who doesn't remember the impressive Black Beauty that Robbie Krieger, the guitarist of the legendary Doors, played during numerous studio recordings and concerts and immortalized on the song "L.A. Woman"? In 2014, the Gibson Custom Shop released an exact replica of this Les Paul Custom in a strictly limited edition in honor of Robbie. Only 50 copies were produced in the Aged & Signed version, of which we can offer you #32 here. The aging is of course of the finest, not at all subtle, this guitar shows countless hairline cracks and quirks, detailed after the original. But also the playability of this custom is excellent thanks to a medium to grippy neck profile, which in combination with the beautiful Ebony fingerboard offers a dreamlike feel. Sound-wise, it is something extremely special just because of the pickup lineup. The Seymour Duncan mini humbucker on the neck sounds very open and somewhere between Strat and Les Paul with beautiful sustain. The hammer for singing solos! At the bridge the typical throaty, differentiated P90 sound. Especially with slightly distorted sounds you can work super with the great tone here. We are happy to offer you this rarity not only for Doors fans in top condition!
