Getting an L-5 is getting more and more difficult, because these guitars are only produced in very small numbers. All the more we are happy to offer you a gorgeous L-5 Wes Montgomery from the Gibson Custom Shop Crimson Division. The guitars from the Crimson series were made by a masterbuilder and are characterized by the very best woods and workmanship. You can recognize them by the red certificate and the 2 labels, one of which was signed by the masterbuilder (see pictures). This Wes Montgomery was built especially for a Japanese dealer and I can highly recommend it to every Jazz friend. Played dry you don't miss any amp at first. This is how L-5 should sound. Warm, resonant sound with a top sustain and a great tone. Since it sounds very open and also acoustically fully convincing, it is super suitable for practicing without amp. On the amp you can enjoy every single tone. Despite the pleasant warmth, it is very balanced and differentiated and does not muddy. The neck has a very pleasant medium profile and plays like itself with the low string action. The guitar is in mint condition with no play marks on the frets.
