Jazzmen watch out. Here we have a rare L-4 in Wine Red from 1996. At the moment it is strung with 013 Thomastik Flatwounds and so it is really pure Jazz! The guitar has a slightly smaller body than the L-5 and the sides are made of solid mahogany. The back is made of solid curly maple like the L-5 and the Top is also made of solid spruce like the L-5. The fretboard is made of ebony and the guitar plays simply fantastic. Pleasant medium neck and visually an eye-catcher with the classic parallelogram inlays. The guitar has a few smaller playing marks according to its age and on the backside a few belt buckle scratches and dings and dongs, nothing bigger. The general condition is very good and it is technically flawless. More jazz for less money is not possible!
