With this richly decorated Hummingbird the Gibson Custom Shop has succeeded in creating a fantastic masterpiece that beautifully showcases the noble dreadnought classic. This is already visually clear: the fingerboard, pickguard, headstock and even the bridge feature beautiful custom abalone inlays, no two of which are alike. Lush decorative stripes and bindings as well as exquisite gold-colored, lavishly engraved tuners round off the overall picture. The most exclusive feature however is the choice of wood: in addition to the AA Sitka spruce top and the mahogany neck with ebony fingerboard the back and sides are made from solid Hawaiian koa. This not only looks fantastic, but also ensures a special sound. It's really great how voluminous and yet defined the sound is. When strumming we particularly like the very natural compression, which makes the guitar sound incredibly balanced and round. Together with the comfortable feel of the neck with a pleasant medium profile this is a complete package that leaves nothing to be desired.
