If you want a really special Gibson acoustic, this is the one! With this richly decorated Hummingbird, the Gibson Custom Shop has succeeded in creating a fantastic new interpretation of the dreadnought classic. This is already clear visually: on the fingerboard, the pickguard, the headstock and even the bridge you will find beautiful custom abalone inlays, no two of which are alike. Lush trim strips and bindings round out the overall look. The most serious feature, however, is the wood selection: Besides the top made of AA Sitka spruce and the neck made of mahogany with ebony fingerboard, the back and sides are namely made of solid Hawaiian koa. This not only looks fantastic, but also provides a special sound. Really great how voluminous and yet defined the sound presents itself. When strumming, I especially like the very natural compression that makes the guitar sound incredibly balanced and round. Combined with the comfortable feel of the neck with its comfortable medium profile, this is a total package that leaves nothing to be desired.
